Burnt Out Power Seat In A 1988 Ford Thunderbird

I have a 1988 Ford Thunderbird and she is lovely. But the power seat on the diver's side doesn't work. I don't care if the power seat works, but I can't currently reach the pedals. Is there a way to simply move the seat so it fits me without having to fix the power seat?

I agree with the fuse deal..if that is indeed a 20 amp..
Also, check under the seat closely, CLOSELY, for the power connection. It may have become separated from agressive cleaning
or some other form of disconnect ( ie,, stuffing something under it )
You may also try bypassing the switch and have someone with some
technical experience bypass everthing right to the power seat itself.
At least you will be able to touch your pedals. That is a bit of prioirity
    here..
    Good Luck to you…

You can probably fix that seat if you replace the fuse. Go to autozone and ask them for part number ATO20-BP it’s located under the dash.
